Terms
The basic rules of using Volta.
Last updated: 3 June 2026. This page is the working version while the full Terms of Service are being finalised by counsel. For anything we haven't spelled out yet, email us and we'll answer directly.
What you're subscribing to
Volta is gym-management software. You pay a flat monthly fee for the platform. Member payments are processed through your own Stripe account via Stripe Connect. Volta takes a 1% platform fee on those payments; your gym is the merchant of record and controls your pricing, invoicing, and payout schedule directly.
Pricing and changes
Pricing as listed on voltagym.app/#pricing. If we change pricing, your gym is given 60 days' written notice and your existing rate is honoured for the remainder of any committed annual term.
Cancellation
Month-to-month. Cancel anytime from the admin settings or by emailing us. We do not claw back any of your members' data on cancellation — you get a clean export and your member list, plan list, schedule, and historical bookings are yours to take with you.
Your data is yours
Member rosters, payment records (on your Stripe), class schedules, programming, and results data belong to your gym. We process them on your behalf, never sell or rent them, and provide a one-click export at any time.
Uptime and incidents
We target 99.9% uptime on the production platform. We do not currently offer a contractual SLA but will publish one before signing enterprise customers. Any incident that lasts more than 30 minutes is communicated to all gym owners by email.
Acceptable use
Don't use Volta to operate a gym you don't legally control, don't use it to evade tax or process payments for unrelated businesses, and don't reverse- engineer the platform to build a competitor. Beyond that we're not interested in micromanaging how you run your box.
Liability
Volta's aggregate liability to any gym is capped at the amount paid in the previous 12 months. We don't accept liability for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue from member churn outside Volta's direct fault.
Governing law
England and Wales, with disputes resolved in the courts of London unless a different jurisdiction is agreed in writing.
